Position Summary
Provide technical editing, document preparation, and graphics support to the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project (AMWTP/TWO) senior management, the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) staff, and Hanford Field Office (HFO) senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating, revising, formatting, and performing content editing on project documents.
- Developing and enhancing graphics; providing recommendations and solutions to improve visual content; and incorporating photographs and imagery into presentations and communication products.
- Creating and updating templates, including layout and design elements.
- Coordinating technical and editorial reviews with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform ongoing document development and coordination activities required for the creation, production, and maintenance of project documents, procedures, plans, and communication deliverables necessary to meet HFO senior management, AMWTP, AMTWO, and WTP/TWO Project policy and reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain WTP and TWO Project management documents, including planning documents, processes, procedures, presentations, and communication products, utilizing specialized technical knowledge and experience.
- Manage and maintain the WTP SharePoint site, including the digital library, organizational charts, and associated information repositories to ensure current, accurate, and accessible project information.
- Support WTP and TWO Federal staff with documentation needs, including technical writing, editing, formatting, and production of project records and communication materials.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 6 years of experience may be substituted for a BS/BA degree.
- At least 10 years of experience working with the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities, DOE Hanford processes and procedures.
- Strong technical writing and editing skills.
- Expert-level proficiency in MS Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with, or ability to quickly learn and utilize, various technology management tools used at Hanford.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
