Essential Functions
Perform High-Quality Ultrasound Examinations
You will perform and assist with a variety of exams, including:

Abdomen
-
Breast
-
Small Parts
-
Gynecology
-
Musculoskeletal
-
Vascular (if RVT on site)
You will compile clinical findings, correlate patient history, and provide a preliminary impression for physician review.
Deliver Exceptional Patient Care

Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout every exam
-
Adapt communication and care to individual patient needs
-
Respond appropriately in emergency situations
-
Provide clear instructions and education regarding procedures
-
Maintain strict infection control, including high-level disinfection of pelvic probes
Collaborate & Maintain Excellence
-
Work closely with radiologists, cardiologists, surgeons, and hospital departments
-
Follow AIUM ultrasound protocols and best practices
-
Maintain equipment and report malfunctions
-
Assist with scheduling and timely documentation of reports
-
Participate in weekend call rotation (as scheduled)
-
Support efficient departmental operations, including add-on patients
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent credentials
-
Active West Virginia Medical Imaging License
-
Current CPR certification
-
Completion of required annual competencies and pelvic probe disinfection training
Preferred:
-
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered
-
One (1) year of experience in acute care or physician office setting

Additional sonography specialty registries
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods

Lift up to 50 pounds using proper technique

Frequent walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and patient positioning

Continuous arm-hand coordination
