What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at Boomerang?
Boomerang Office Furniture and Common Sense Office Furniture are looking for a Project Coordinator to partner with our Sales Team and coordinate commercial furniture projects from initial order through installation. As a full-service dealership with warehouses in Pennsauken, NJ and Orlando, FL, we serve clients across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast — including multi-location customers who count on us as a single source. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Convert sales orders upon sign-off and enter into our CORE V system
• Initiate deposit requests from clients
• Submit purchase orders to vendors and gather vendor acknowledgments
• Track order progress; check acknowledgments for discrepancies and resolve
• Note product shipped and track critical items; re-order or repair damaged product
• Work with clients for balance due prior to delivery
• Approve invoices for payment and orders for billing
• Partner with the Install Manager to ensure installs have everything needed (drawings, product, logistics)
• Take calls from day-to-day clients and order products as needed
• Print installation drawings and ship/track packages to clients and vendors
• Maintain appearance of the in-office showroom, conference room, and kitchen
• Light phone reception and general administrative support
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (design or business-related field a plus), or equivalent work experience
• 1 years of related experience (furniture, interior design, construction, or commercial project coordination preferred)
• Contract furniture or dealer industry experience a strong plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; basic CAP 20/20 and CORE software knowledge a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — comfortable interacting with clients, vendors, and installers
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; detail oriented
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, particularly for the Orlando location
• Project management certification (CAPM, PMP) a plus but not required
