Patient Collection Specialist

The Patient Collection Specialist I is responsible for patient account follow-up and collections, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances while providing excellent patient service. Works under close supervision and follows established processes.

• This is a remote role. We are only hiring in the following states: AZ, CA, NM, NV, OR, TX and WA.
  
  

What you will do:

• Contact patients regarding outstanding balances via phone, email, and mail .
• Verify patient information and insurance coverage as needed.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the system.
• Resolve straightforward billing inquiries and payment arrangements.
• Escalate complex accounts or disputes to a senior specialist or manager.
• Assumes other responsibilities as appropriate to the position and organizational needs
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in patient collections, customer service, or billing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills .
• Basic knowledge of medical billing and insurance terminology.
  
  

Compensation Range:  

$24.00 to $30.00 Hourly

All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical locations.
