What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Engineer position at Boomband?

The Product Engineer is responsible for new product design and existing product enhancement to support Oldcastle Infrastructure’s digital water solutions. This role manages the Product Lifecycle, defines product vision and roadmaps, and collaborates with commercial and operational functions to deliver winning products. The role requires a blend of engineering expertise, product management, and cross-functional leadership.
Establish design specifications based on industry and customer standards
Perform, oversee, and direct product design, detailing, prototyping, and testing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using a stage-gate product development process
Estimate projects, provide scope documents, and integrate with Salesforce
Collaborate with Operations on tooling, automation, and assembly processes
Establish product specifications, material standards, and testing requirements
Utilize plumbing/mechanical systems with electrical and structural components
Partner with Drafting team to review/create customer details and drawings
Provide technical support for quality standards and certifications
Maintain regulatory approvals and assist in acquiring new ones
Create SKUs and Bills of Material
Attend job sites and customer meetings
Research new technologies
Support change management and sales/customer service strategies
