Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Florence, AL, for a Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist will manage day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, implementing and maintaining HR policies, administering benefits, and overseeing other core HR functions. This role involves ensuring compliance with company policies, providing support to employees, and assisting with the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives. The HR Generalist (2nd Shift) supports Human Resources operations during evening hours with primary responsibility for conducting new-hire orientations for 2nd and 3rd shift employees. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth onboarding experience, supporting employee relations, and assisting with HR processes that occur outside regular business hours. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and able to work independently. The working schedule will be Sunday working from 5:00pm – 9:00pm and Monday-Wednesday 11:00pm – 10:00pm. Off Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Human Resources (HR), including general HR practices and principles
- Proficiency in HR Management and implementing HR Policies
- Experience in managing Employee Benefits and administering Benefits Programs
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build positive relationships and maintain ethical professionalism in all situations
- Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Relevant certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP are a plus
