Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
The HR Generalist (2nd Shift) supports Human Resources operations during evening hours with primary responsibility for conducting new-hire orientations for 2nd and 3rd shift employees. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth onboarding experience, supporting employee relations, and assisting with HR processes that occur outside regular business hours. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and able to work independently. The working schedule will be Sunday working from 5:00pm – 9:00pm and Monday-Wednesday 11:00pm – 10:00pm. Off Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct new hire orientation for 2nd and 3rd shift employees, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience.
Review and collect onboarding documents, verify completion, and process paperwork in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Provide an overview of company policies, workplace expectations, safety procedures, and available resources.
Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure timely integration of new employees into their departments.
HR Support & Employee Relations
Serve as an onsite HR presence during the 1stand2nd shift to address employee questions or concerns.
Support employees with HR-related inquiries including attendance, policies, benefits, basics, and general HR support.
Document and escalate employee relations matters as needed following company protocols.
Administration& Compliance
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of HR documents.
Assist with HR reporting, data entry, attendance tracking, and other administrative tasks.
Support compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to company policies, labor laws, and safety standards.
Coordinate with first-shift HR staff to ensure smooth communication and follow-up on unresolved matters.
Other Duties
Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned. Provide training sessions for Safety and Lead/Trainer lunch and learning sessions.
Assist leadership with the workforce needs specific evening operations.
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred.
1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar environment.
Strong understanding of HR practices, onboarding, and compliance.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (preferred).
Work Environment
On-site position.
Occasional standing or walking during orientation sessions may be required.
Occasionally walk to the warehouse floor to conduct safety inspections.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
