Your Responsibilities As a Staffing Specialist Will Include

Key Requirements
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience 1) providing guidance to managers on routine recruitment and placement procedures in accordance with established processes; AND 2) performing the full range of staffing duties for positions with clear precedents, which includes developing job analyses/crediting plans, drafting job announcements, and evaluating applicant qualifications.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration.

- Act as a strategic consultant to hiring managers and leadership, providing expert advice on the entire recruitment lifecycle to solve complex and unique staffing challenges.
- Design and execute innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent for a wide range of positions, including highly technical and mission-critical roles in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
- Manage the end-to-end hiring process, from developing compelling job announcements and evaluating candidates to presenting qualified applicant lists to hiring teams and finalizing job offers.
- Analyze position requirements to develop and define the key qualifications and assessment criteria that ensure we identify the most skilled and successful candidates for every role.
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement forward-thinking recruitment policies and contribute to strategic workforce planning initiatives that align with our long-term goals.
- Champion and manage special hiring programs to build a diverse and inclusive workforce, including initiatives for veterans, students, and individuals with disabilities.
