Lead Irrigation Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge if irrigation systems for large properties and a strong background in landscape maintenance and irrigation systems, with the ability to build, install, and maintain irrigation systems efficiently. This role requires mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various tools to ensure optimal irrigation for all landscaped beds throughout property. The ideal technician will be able to order parts for the department.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties.
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to ensure proper functionality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot issues related to irrigation systems, including leaks, clogs, and mechanical failures.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for digging, building, and maintaining irrigation setups.
• Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions into overall landscape care.
• Provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades to existing irrigation systems based on observed performance.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during installations or repairs.
• Order parts for the department.

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely.
• Familiarity with garden care practices, including lawn care and plant watering needs.
• Ability to dig trenches and install irrigation lines as required by project specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work performed.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
• A valid driver's license.
• The ability to work outside for extended periods in all Florida weather conditions.
• Willing to learn.
• Flexible.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
