Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead counsel on a wide range of real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing, and development projects.
- Negotiate and draft purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, financing documents, and commercial leases.
- Provide strategic counsel to developers, investors, financial institutions, and corporate clients on complex real estate transactions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas, including tax, litigation, and corporate, to deliver comprehensive client service.
- Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s real estate practice in the Southeast.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active license (or eligibility) to practice law in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in real estate law, with significant transactional experience required.
- Strong background handling large-scale, complex real estate deals.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage client relationships and lead transactions.
