• Previous restaurant experience is a plus, but a positive attitude matters more. We’re all about training the right people who want to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Serving up slow-smoked BBQ and cold drinks with speed, accuracy, and genuine hospitality to our in-house customers.
• Reading the room- whether it’s a family out for dinner, a crew celebrating after work, or a table of rib-eating champions from MSU, you’ll make every guest feel right at home.
• Teaming up with bartenders, kitchen crew, and fellow servers to keep things flowing smoothly.
• Keeping your section looking sharp and always clean, well-stocked, and ready for whatever the night throws your way.
• Owning the guest experience from start to finish and making it fun.

What you’ll need

• Bring a positive attitude and energy every day
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced team atmosphere
• Fulfill all training and certification obligations on time and as assigned
• Consistent eagerness to listen, learn, apply knowledge, and accept critical feedback
• Approach daily tasks, projects, and follow-up communication with energy and sense of urgency
• Ability to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, holidays, and scheduled training meetings
• Ability to apply concepts of basic math, grammar, punctuation and spelling

Experience & Requirements

• Required when needed, the ability to work early morning, evenings, late night, weekends, and some holidays. Schedule demands may change.
• ServeSafe Certified preferred but not required
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• In person job – Must be located near the job site

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Bones BBQ & Smokehouse cares about the health and safety of our employees.
