Position Summary:
The Material Handler 2 in Shipping is responsible for picking and unloading products rapidly, verifying order accuracy, and ensuring proper storage and rotation. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production.

Position Summary:
The Material Handler 2 in Shipping is responsible for picking and unloading products rapidly, verifying order accuracy, and ensuring proper storage and rotation. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production.
What you will Do:
- Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes.
- Safely operate stand up and/or sit down forklift equipment through heavy load lifting and directional travel throughout Warehouse environment
- Rotate product by date in the storage cooler while staying in rotation and picking the correct product based on age.
- Pick orders and stage by route. Responsible for loading the product onto the correct truck in the correct sequence to ensure the customer receives their product.
- Locate products in the JDE/DSI system into the designated location using a scanner.
- Ensure all orders are picked on correct pallets (iGPS, Chep, White wood) and wrap pallets.
- Move finished goods from production to the cooler and ensure proper product temperature.
- Inspect trailers for any odor or holes and confirm the chute is clean. Ensure trailers are locked in the dock door.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- GED/High School Diploma.
- 1-3 years of forklift experience (some positions require stand-up forklift experience).
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English; Bilingual preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24 hour plant environment.
- Demonstrated ability to have good judgment.
- Some specialized training such as warehouse clerk type roles with computer experience and / or inventory type roles / exposure.

- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate up and down the organization
