Prep Cook

The Role

The Production Cook specializes in preparing food at our commissary kitchen, which supplies our area restaurants. This role requires familiarity with standard restaurant equipment, large-batch preparation, and the ability to thrive in a small team environment while maintaining reliability.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare food items according to established recipes and quality standards for multiple restaurant locations.
• Operate and maintain standard restaurant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Execute large-batch food preparation while ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation in the commissary kitchen.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively within a small team environment to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in all shifts.
• Assist with inventory management and proper storage of ingredients as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a production kitchen or similar high-volume culinary environment.
• Proficiency in operating standard restaurant equipment.
• Experience with large-batch food preparation.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a small team.
• Strong commitment to reliability and punctuality.
• Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
