We have 10 full time employees with an office based in DC and approximately 6,000 square feet of warehouse spaces, based in Hyattsville, MD. Job Description
We are currently looking to fill the position of a Warehouse Operations Manager. The primary role is to manage the inventory of one central warehouse with three smaller storage units, including freight, shipping and receiving and returns. The secondary element is to manage our small vehicle fleet as well as load /unload trucks. This is a hands-on role.
The successful applicant will maintain high levels of accuracy in day to day operations, show initiative and leadership and provide excellent customer service.
Duties
- Responsible for the operations of the warehouse and storage units, including all shipping and receiving. (approx. 6,000 square feet)
- Maintain warehouse inventory
- Work directly with event producers and project management team to ensure inventory is pulled and ready for each event.
- When events have concluded, ensure that inventory is returned to warehouse and is good condition for the next use.
- Attend production meetings for each event
- Using the event calendar and inventory requests, develop transportation schedule
- Manage long term truck lease contract
- Ensure all vehicles are safe, in compliance with federal and local requirements.
- Complete all necessary paperwork per event
- Process invoices and shipping orders
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 -5 years’ experience in a warehouse role
- Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
- Proven knowledge of management of vehicles and transportation scheduling
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Google Calendar and other computer software
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work with all levels of staff
- Flexible work hours, nights, weekends, etc.
- Ability to utilize pallet jack, frequently lift and move up to 65lbs, and work in all types of weather conditions

Pay: $48,152.84 - $56,990.51 per year
