*Experience of at least 2 years in a SNF

DAY IN THE LIFE AS A REGISTERED DIETITIAN
As a Registered Dietician at our elder care facility, you will be responsible for completing initial, quarterly, annual and significant change nutritional reviews on residents. Participate in care plan conferences and other clinical meetings to consult with physicians and other health care personnel to determine diet restrictions and nutritional needs of residents. You'll also be responsible for assessing nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans in order to develop and implement dietary care plans and provides nutritional counseling as needed. As required, you keep accurate records for each resident you work with and report any changes in a resident's condition to the nursing department immediately.
With patience and a calm demeanor, you treat those you care for just the way you would want your own family members treated. You go home each day tired but feeling good about the positive impact you have made in the lives of so many in your community.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR REGISTERED DIETITIAN
- Previous experience in a long term care facility required
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field
- A love for people, especially the elderly
