Overview

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Health Insurance Sales Representative who specializes in group benefits for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). This role is ideal for a proven producer with a strong track record of new business development, client retention, and consultative selling in the group benefits space.

The position offers a competitive base salary plus commissions, residual income and a retention bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, and close new group benefits business with small and medium-sized employers
  • Consult with business owners and decision-makers to assess needs and recommend tailored group benefit solutions
  • Sell and manage group health, ancillary, and employee benefit products
  • Present proposals, conduct enrollment meetings, and support implementation of new groups
  • Maintain and grow an existing book of business through renewals, upselling, and cross-selling
  • Provide ongoing service and support to clients to ensure high retention and satisfaction
  • Stay current on carrier offerings, underwriting guidelines, and industry regulations
  • Meet or exceed individual sales, revenue, and retention goals
  • Travel regularly to client meetings, networking events, and industry functions within the assigned region

Required Qualifications

  • Active health insurance license (state-specific as applicable)
  • Proven track record of success selling group benefits to small and medium-sized companies
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets
  • Strong consultative sales, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing renewals and maintaining long-term client relationships
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Established relationships within the SMB market
  • Experience with multiple carriers and benefit platforms
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements related to group benefits

Pay: $78, $150,000.00 per year
