Job Summary
The Culinary Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple dining service operations across assigned locations. This role ensures high-quality service, operational efficiency, and achievement of financial goals. The position requires strong leadership, financial management, and a commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across multiple foodservice locations
- Ensure all service, safety, and operational standards are consistently met
- Manage financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Lead, develop, and support management teams across locations
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company, regulatory, and safety standards
- Drive operational efficiency, cost control, and service excellence
- Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and internal teams
- Lead hiring, training, and development of management staff
- Conduct regular team and performance meetings
- Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of foodservice management experience, including multi-unit oversight
- Strong knowledge of food trends, quality standards, sanitation, and cost controls
- Experience managing P&L and contract-managed foodservice operations
- Background in retail dining and/or catering operations
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and operational metrics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business systems
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred
