Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining account compliance, audit and process account records, perform monthly reconciliations, and respond to vendor inquiries. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills and strong communication skills.
Duties
- Processing and verifying the accuracy of inventory or accounting documents or records.
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records.
- Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs
- Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.
- Maintains filing systems
- Receives, sorts and distributes incoming mail.
- Photocopying, scanning and faxing documents as needed.
- Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Investigates questionable data.
Skills
- Proficiency in data quality and data entry.
- Strong understanding of debits and credits as well as double-entry bookkeeping practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is a requirement.
- Bookkeeping or accounts payable/receivable experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with public accounting principles is a plus.
- Excellent financial report writing skills to communicate findings effectively.
- Ability to manage accounts efficiently while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and external stakeholders.
Candidates for this position should have excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. They should also have the experience to work independently and prioritize tasks. Candidates should possess the communication skills to work well with other members of the accounting team and to communicate effectively with customers and vendors. Top Candidates understand accounting principles and have experience using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with SAGE software is an advantage.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
