Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work independently in the field. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC design and installation.
- Perform repairs on various mechanical systems and appliances as needed.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs and installations.
- Provide excellent customer service while working on-site at residential or commercial properties.
- Collaborate with other technicians and contractors on construction projects involving HVAC systems.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all work activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or similar role with a focus on service technician experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in construction, plumbing, refrigeration, and property maintenance.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform equipment repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Proficient in reading schematics related to HVAC design and installation processes.
- Experience in field service work with a strong understanding of air conditioning systems.
- Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
