Job Description

Bolzoni Group is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Support Technician – Welding & Facilities to assist with day-to-day maintenance, welding repairs, and facility upkeep in a manufacturing environment. This role supports production by performing preventative maintenance tasks, basic troubleshooting, welding repairs, and general facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a practical maintenance or welding background and a strong willingness to learn.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Support Technician provides essential support to plant maintenance and operations by performing routine maintenance, welding repairs, and facility-related tasks. This role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, light troubleshooting, and maintaining a safe, clean, and functional facility. The position does not require advanced electrical or automation skills but does require solid mechanical aptitude and welding experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Support

• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules and guidance from maintenance leadership.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Support corrective maintenance activities to help minimize equipment downtime.
• Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and light modifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and document completed work.
• Identify potential equipment issues and report findings to maintenance leadership.
  
  
  

Welding & Fabrication Support

• Set up and operate welding equipment to perform maintenance-related welding and fabrication repairs.
• Perform welding tasks from work instructions, sketches, or basic drawings.
• Adjust welding parameters such as speed, feed, and temperature to maintain acceptable weld quality.
• Conduct visual inspections of welds before and after completion.
• Maintain accountability for safe operation and quality of welding work.
  
  
  

Facilities & Grounds Maintenance

• Support maintenance of building systems, plant equipment, and grounds.
• Perform general facility upkeep including repairs, organization, and cleanliness.
• Ensure work areas are maintained in a safe and orderly condition.
  
  
  

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Properly use issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Support compliance with OSHA and applicable state/local safety standards.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• 1–3 years of experience in maintenance support, facilities, welding, or a related trade
• Welding experience or welding certification preferred
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with low- and high-pressure hydraulic systems a plus
• Forklift operation experience preferred
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Willingness and ability to rotate through assigned job tasks
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and problem-solving mindset
