About The Role
Our Pool Division installs and maintains premium aquatic systems for residential and commercial clients — from full-scale new builds to equipment retrofits, repairs, and preventive maintenance. We are hiring a Pool Equipment Specialist with deep hands-on experience in setting, plumbing, wiring, and troubleshooting pool equipment. This role will split time between new construction equipment installations and repairs/maintenance of existing pool systems under service contracts. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of equipment from brands like Pentair, Hayward, and Jandy; knows how to plumb tight equipment pads cleanly and efficiently; and is confident diagnosing and repairing complex filtration, heating, and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, plumb, wire, and start up full equipment pads & vaults on new pool builds (pumps, filters, heaters, automation, etc.)
- Replace and repair equipment on existing systems (diagnose leaks, replace motors, troubleshoot automation, etc.)
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and respond to service requests
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and ensure work is completed to high standards
- Coordinate with project managers, electricians, plumbers, and site leads as needed
- Document work using service logs or job tracking apps
- Educate clients or internal team on system use and maintenance best practices
- Maintain and care for company vehicles, tools, and inventory
- Stay up to date on new equipment technologies and troubleshooting techniques
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in pool equipment installation and service
- Strong working knowledge of pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems, automation systems, and valves
- Ability to read plumbing schematics and site plans
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
- High attention to detail and pride in clean, professional installations
- Basic electrical knowledge for wiring equipment (low and line voltage)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Self-directed with a solutions-first mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with smart pool technology and app-based automation (iAquaLink, Pentair IntelliCenter, etc.)
- Experience with both residential and commercial systems
- CPO certification or ability to obtain
- Basic soldering, welding, or PVC repair skills
- Previous experience with field service software or job tracking apps
