We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC press brake machines to perform precise bending operations on sheet metal components according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Set up and calibrate machinery using CNC programming skills, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy for each job.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to determine proper tooling and machine adjustments.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on press brake equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols including crane operation, hand tool usage, and proper handling of sheet metal materials.
- Assist in fabrication processes such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, welding, or machining as needed to support production goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, setup procedures, and machine calibration techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T for precise fabrication.
- Familiarity with other machining processes including CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, or welding is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during setup and inspection.
- Competence in using hand tools, tooling selection, sheet metal handling, and quality inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is desirable; ability to operate cranes is also beneficial.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to machining equipment operation including the use of precision measuring instruments and fabrication tools.
