- Track progress on projects, including budgeted man-hours, labor, and other key metrics.
- Identify project issues and coordinate project scope changes and contingency plans.
- Communicate project status to station supervisors and ensure they are kept informed of any changes or issues.
- Learn and effectively use the company’s planning and operations systems.
- Apply resource planning and scheduling experience to optimize project outcomes.
- Utilize basic knowledge of shipbuilding activities, standard marine practices, and general specifications for construction/repair.
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other supervisors.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental aspects of the work being performed.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production craft supervision.
- Experience in resource planning and scheduling.
- Basic knowledge of shipbuilding activities, standard marine practices, and general construction/repair specifications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with other supervisors.
- Strong focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental standards.
