Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Press Feeder to join our dynamic team in the print industry. The Press Feeder will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our printing presses by preparing and feeding materials into the press, maintaining quality standards, and supporting production flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Material Preparation: Prepare printing materials, including paper, inks, and other substrates, ensuring that all are properly loaded and ready for printing.
- Feeding Operations: Operate feeding equipment to load paper and other materials into the printing press accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitoring Production: Continuously monitor the printing process to ensure that materials are fed smoothly and identify any issues that may arise during printing.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on printed materials to ensure they meet company standards and specifications. Report any quality issues to the press operator and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintenance Support: Assist in the routine maintenance of printing equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
- Collaboration: Work closely with press operators, supervisors, and other team members to ensure seamless production workflows and achieve production targets.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines in the workplace to maintain a safe working environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in printing technology is a plus.
- Previous experience in a printing or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Familiarity with printing processes and machinery is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including possible overtime or weekends.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Use of hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
