Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors using methods such as floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
• Operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, polishers, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial tools efficiently and safely.
• Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals and floor care products responsibly, adhering to safety guidelines and environmental standards.
• Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture, equipment, or supplies while following proper ergonomic practices.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, common areas, offices, and other designated spaces through sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
• Ensure all custodial duties are performed with attention to detail while providing excellent customer service to building occupants or clients.
• Follow safety protocols for chemical agent handling and use personal protective equipment as required during cleaning procedures.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial best practices.
• Skilled in floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, floor refinishing, and carpet cleaning techniques.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, vacuums, and extraction machines.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while understanding the proper use of floor cleaning chemicals and environmental services standards.
• Strong manual handling skills including heavy lifting and safe movement of furniture or equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients or building occupants.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to environmental services and custodial work.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 per week
