The Project Manager is responsible for the profitable execution and delivery of Installation services through project planning, material and equipment procurement, ongoing oversight of the schedule, and by interfacing with stakeholders on a regular basis. Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and manage the construction project in all areas from start to successful completion including contract proposal, budget, change orders, materials procurement, billing, and collection.
- Comply with project contract including legal notifications, scope administration, change order procedures, billing, contract schedules, claims procedures and other contract requirements.
- Responsible for cost management. Monitor efficiency and production for compliance with labor budget.
- Provides architect/engineering consulting services, providing technical expertise in the evaluation of problems and the development of alternatives for construction projects.
- Participates in project management activities affiliated with the design, construction, testing, start-up, and operation of facilities, systems, and/or equipment.
- Attends preconstruction and final acceptance meetings, conducts on-site inspections during the various project phases, and reports on noncompliance with contract requirements.
- Works with architects, engineers, contractors, construction representatives, and others involved in design and construction.
- Control, collect and disseminate all project documentation.
- Maintain professional and timely communication with the general contractor, owner, subcontractors, various company divisions and other key participants.
Qualification:
- High school diploma, GED. College degree is a plus.
- 5 years formal project management experience in commercial building construction, refrigeration, HVAC, or a related industry/trade.
- Strong business acumen and project management skills, including knowledge of automated project management tools, financial reports, and general knowledge of accounting principles.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple and competing priorities, while keeping past commitments or obtaining concise understanding past commitments will be affected by new priorities.
- Passionate about personal development, goal setting, goal achievement.
- Ability to communicate, both verbal and written, with other team members, visitors, and customers in an effective, pleasant, courteous, and tactful manner.
- Experience in directing, leading, and influencing a cross-functional team of technical and non-technical professionals
- Strong analytical capability and the ability to solve complex business problems.
- Outstanding relationship building skills, including the ability to proactively address customer issues and concerns, and forge strong working relationships with senior level customer representatives and General Contractors.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents.
- Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance.
- Ability to follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
