About the Role
The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations during the ensuring production goals, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations are consistently met. This role serves as the primary point of contact for shift employees, providing leadership, coaching, and support while promoting a positive and productive work environment.
What You'll Do- Coordinate resources to meet daily production and shipping schedules, lead production meetings, and maintain order status visibility.
- Recognize downstream product deficits or surpluses and adjust production operations to support efficient, one-piece flow while collaborating closely with VS Leads.
- Perform and oversee quality inspections, resolve quality concerns, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Provide hands-on leadership by assisting shop floor associates as needed to ensure orders are completed successfully.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members, addressing performance issues and supporting disciplinary processes when necessary.
- Support employee development and provide hands-on assistance to production teams to help ensure customer orders are completed successfully.
- 2 years manufacturing experience
- Ability to safely manage 50 100 pound pieces of materials and product
- Must be comfortable working around wood dust, paint & paint fumes, and glues and adhesives. Masks and respirators are provided, but not required.
- Experience with Epicor or similar ERP system
- Forklift license
