Role Overview: The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations under physician supervision to identify abnormalities and support patient diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain ARDMS credentials, ensure proper patient identification, prepare patients, perform high-quality exams, instruct students and staff, provide patient education, practice infection control, operate equipment, document procedures accurately, and follow protocols for safety and quality assurance.
Qualifications & Skills: Must be ARDMS registered with relevant registries, BLS certified, and have prior ultrasound experience. Skills include patient identification, documentation, customer service, clinical excellence, effective communication, teamwork, and equipment operation.
Physical Requirements: Ability to see, hear, manipulate equipment precisely, lift and transfer patients, and navigate busy environments.
