What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Support position at Bold Steps Behavioral Health?
Bold Steps Behavioral Health in Concord, NH is seeking Peer Support professionals to join our team within the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This is a full-time, on-site position with a Monday through Friday schedule.
The ideal candidate will have 12-step experience as well as experience working with individuals who have co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders, including complex conditions such as eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. CRSW candidates preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily client operations (i.e. Intake documentation and client orientation, providing peer support for clients, picking up and dropping off of clients including transporting clients to appointments utilizing the company van, food service, etc.)
- Group facilitation and documentation (including 12-step groups)
- Assist team in any operational needs
- Assist with preventing ASAs
- Client UA screenings and documentation
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support client care and progress
- Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a positive and appropriate recovery environment
- Ensure client and Peer Support compliance with all Bold Steps rules, policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Education:
- CRSW Preferred
- High School diploma or GED
Experience:
- Valid driver's license
- 12 Step experience preferred
- Comfortable facilitating group therapy
- CPR certification (preferred but not required; training provided)
- A minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in a team-based treatment environment
- Team oriented; supportive, communicative, compassionate, observational/analytical, and a positive attitude
- Must be authentic and humble
- Ability to manage crisis situations and collaborate effectively with the treatment team.
- Great interpersonal skills with ability to set and adhere by boundaries with kindness and support for the well-being of the client
- Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles and the company's core values
- Proficient with computers
- Flexibility in ability to work various schedules
Compensation & Benefits:
- Job type: Full time
- Schedule: Varies from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm
- Salary range: $40,000.00 β $45,000.00 per year (paid hourly)
