Role Overview: The Nurse Extern PRN Trauma assists in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care under RN supervision.
Key Responsibilities: Perform delegated basic patient care activities, support patients with activities of daily living, communicate pertinent information, document care in electronic systems, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.
Qualifications & Skills: Enrolled in an accredited nursing program, in good standing, with a high school diploma or GED. Must have BLS certification, and can be considered after completing initial nursing coursework or as a CNA in early RN program. Ability to perform higher-level procedures upon competency.
Additional Requirements: Ability to demonstrate compassion, support patient dignity, and work effectively within a healthcare team. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 30 days of start.
