Role: MRI Technologist in a leading academic health-care system.
Responsibilities: Perform MRI exams on diverse patient populations, assist in daily operations of imaging facilities, and act as a content expert for training technologists and students. Review patient safety, clinical requisitions, and ensure high-quality imaging with proper formatting and labeling. Coordinate exams requiring radiologist involvement, monitor equipment performance, and maintain accurate records in RIS, PACS, EPIC, and Radiant. Educate staff on PACS processes, collaborate with physicians and staff to prioritize workload, and participate in quality assurance and continuing education activities. Ensure patient and staff safety around MRI scanners and oversee routine preventive maintenance.
Qualifications & Skills: Formal MRI training, ARRT or ARMRIT certification (or within one year), current CPR, and proficiency in various MRI applications including neuro, musculoskeletal, cardiac, pediatric, and breast imaging. Minimum two years of full-time MRI experience preferred. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills essential.
