Role Summary
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or the guidance of a licensed healthcare professional. Maintains accountability for patient care, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Coordinates care with other departments to deliver quality services.
Responsibilities
Care for diverse patient populations in MedSurg units, including pre/post-operative cardiac and vascular patients. Support a multidisciplinary team with educators, PCA/PCTs, case managers, therapists, and dietitians. Build clinical skills and earn credentials such as ACLS. Maintain current licensure and certifications as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience with licensure. Valid LPN license and required certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS). Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks. Additional unit-specific certifications may be required.
