Role & Responsibilities: Provide skilled nursing care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, supporting patients in hospice programs under supervision.
Key Duties: Assist with patient care, promote quality of life, educate patients and families, document clinical visits, perform specialized procedures, and coordinate care with healthcare team. Participate in patient assessments, planning, and evaluation, ensuring continuity of care. Attend to patient needs during visits and communicate results to supervisors.
Qualifications & Skills: Active LPN license in Florida, current IV certification, 1-2 years healthcare experience preferred, proficient in clinical software, and excellent communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, travel throughout South Florida, lift and move patients, and remain calm under stress.
Additional Duties: Provide documentation on hospice benefits, train new staff, participate in 24/7 patient care, and adhere to policies and legal requirements. May serve as interim departmental leader.
