Responsibilities: As a Tower Technician II, you are responsible for installing, maintaining, and operating wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment and systems. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.
- Climbs and works on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment.
- The basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Safety Management - ensures crew members are in compliance with company and customer safety requirements. Verifies and ensures all tools and rigging gear are safe to use.
- The ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with 50 lb. load.
- Full understanding of a job or project Scope of Work (SOW).
- Analyzes situations accurately and adopt an appropriate course of action.
- Solid communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Follows instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action.
- Recognizes safety hazards and performing duties in a safe manner.
- Maintains clean, orderly environment adhering to company policies and industry regulation/standard(s) (OSHA)
- Knowledge of advanced tower rigging techniques.
- Performs tape drops.
- Performs GPS antenna alignment (Sunsight AAT)
- Proficient with installation of antennas, RRH’s, ground kits, RET systems.
- Assist in gathering all closeout documents are an absolute must
- Runs required lines to top of the tower; grounds coax lines and builds different sizes and types of connectors.
- Stacks towers, installs sector mounts.
- Basic knowledge of microwave dish and radio installations
- Recognizes safety hazards and performs duties in a safe manner.
- Act as an assistant to the team lead and mentor to less experienced Tower Technicians.
Experience
- Previous experience in tower work or related field service roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with telecommunications technologies such as 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G is highly desirable.
- Skills in cabling, rigging, low voltage, high voltage systems, bucket operation, and welding are advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
