Overview
The Tower Technician plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment located on telecommunications towers. Duties
- Install and maintain telecommunications equipment on towers, including antennas and cabling.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of equipment to identify issues.
- Operate bucket trucks safely for high-altitude work.
- Climb towers as needed to perform installations or repairs while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with field service teams to complete projects efficiently.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
Skills
- Proficient in low voltage cabling practices.
- Familiarity with LMR, LTE, MW technologies is essential.
- Experience with rigging and climbing techniques for tower work.
- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
