We’re seeking a reliable, organized, and friendly Customer Service and E Commerce Support Assistant to help manage our direct to consumer orders and customer communications. This role focuses on the backend of our website and the front lines of customer experience. You’ll be the one making sure orders flow smoothly, subscriptions are accurate, and customers feel supported and heard.
This position exists to relieve our production and operations team of the bulk customer service workload so our systems stay clean, our customers stay happy, and issues are handled consistently and with care. There is also opportunity to grow into other areas of the business over time, including production and operations, for the right candidate. This role will report directly to the Office Manager.
What you’ll do:
Monitor and manage the customer service email inbox and phone line
Respond to customer inquiries in a timely, friendly, and professional way
Handle customer complaints including refunds, replacements, and issue documentation
Manage the backend of Shopify including order tracking, subscription adjustments, address changes, cancellations, and returns
Track shipping issues and maintain a carrier log for delivery exceptions
Monitor and respond to Amazon customer messages and order related issues
Identify recurring issues and trends to help improve systems and processes
Communicate with internal teams when customer issues require operational support
Qualifications:
Customer service, hospitality, or account management experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable using email, phone, and online systems
Detail oriented, organized, and dependable
Calm, respectful, and solutions focused in difficult situations
Experience with Shopify, e commerce, or subscription platforms is a plus but not required
QuickBooks experience is a plus but not required
Food safety or food manufacturing knowledge is a plus but not required
ServSafe certification is a plus. If you don’t have it yet, we’ll help you get certified as part of your training
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Schedule:
Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
Pay:
$18 per hour during the training period
$20 per hour after training and demonstrated proficiency
