The Shift Leader's responsibilities include managing the assigned shift schedule, dealing with no-shows, delegating tasks, handling cash, and reporting issues to the manager.
To be successful as a Shift Leader, you should be able to manage a team of people and ensure that all duties are performed accurately. Ultimately, a top Shift Leader should be able to provide smooth and efficient workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Handling customer issues and employee disputes.
- Oversee the restaurant's daily operations during your shift, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Lead and motivate a team of employees, setting clear expectations and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to help them succeed.
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed, ensuring we always have the products to serve our customers.
- They maintained a clean and organized restaurant, ensuring that all equipment was in good working order and that safety and sanitation standards were upheld at all times.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally, ensuring that each customer leaves satisfied.
- Ensure that all employees follow company policies and procedures, including food safety, customer service, and cash handling.
- Coaching team members and training new staff.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Previous experience as a Shift Leader or in a similar role in retail.
- Experience managing shift schedules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Confident problem-solver.
- Team player.
- Positive can-do attitude.
