Qualifications:

Are you detail-oriented, technically curious, and always looking for a better way to do things? Boise Co-op is seeking a proactive Data Coordinator who combines accuracy and organization with strong problem-solving skills and an interest in technology.

This role is responsible for maintaining accurate product, pricing, vendor, tax, and inventory data across multiple systems. Beyond routine data maintenance, we’re looking for someone who identifies inefficiencies, improves workflows, and uses technology to reduce manual work and improve reporting.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Data Management

  • Enter, maintain, and audit product, pricing, vendor, tax, and inventory data across multiple systems.

  • Research and resolve discrepancies to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

  • Respond to data-related questions and collaborate with Category Management, Store Operations, Marketing, IT, and store teams.

  • Manage recurring tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Process Improvement and Automation

  • Identify repetitive or inefficient processes and develop practical solutions to improve workflows.

  • Build and maintain tools or scripts using Excel, Power Query, VBA, PowerShell, or similar technologies.

  • Document and standardize processes, combine data from multiple sources, and help improve reporting efficiency.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Develop and maintain reports using Excel, SQL, Access, and other available tools.

  • Assist with data queries, identify trends and discrepancies, and communicate useful findings.

  • Expand reporting and analytical skills to support more efficient, data-driven decisions.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in data entry, data coordination, data maintenance, or a similar role.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when working with large volumes of data.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, follow procedures, and work independently.

  • Initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn new technologies and improve existing processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets.

  • Experience with Power Query, VBA, PowerShell, SQL, Access, macros, scripting, or other automation tools.

  • Experience with databases, reporting, data cleanup, or workflow improvement.

  • Familiarity with product, pricing, inventory, or point-of-sale systems.

  • Retail or grocery experience.

  • Familiarity with systems such as Catapult Web Office, Cognition, WIS, Instacart, Local Express, Laserfiche, or SQL Anywhere.

  • Experience with automation and database tools is a plus. The ability to learn quickly and apply new skills is equally important.

Physical Demands

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Working Environment

Work is conducted primarily in an administrative office environment, where there is a high level of noise and frequent interruptions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You take ownership of your work, maintain accuracy even with repetitive tasks, and look beyond the immediate assignment to identify better ways of working. You’re comfortable learning new tools, solving technical problems, and finding practical ways to reduce manual effort and improve data quality.

Success starts with getting the data right—and continues with finding smarter ways to manage and use it.
