Purpose/Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist/ Payroll is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works with Director in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out the responsibilities in employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, affirmative action and employment law compliance
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages the day-to-day operations for the geographic regions in Human Resources support to the Regional office in the specified geographic regions
- Must coordinate implementation of all company policies to the regional staff including the Store Managers and Restaurant staff
- Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures including the employee handbook, on boarding paperwork, and any other procedures manual
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems for the company and their specific geographic regions
- Handles employee relations counseling, exit interviews, compensation negotiation, benefits administration, and will assist in scheduling training on an as-needed basis
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database as needed
- Ensure accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, participate in daily data entry into Payroll processing software
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Must maintain up to date knowledge and compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and labor laws
- Recruits and interviews all potential candidates for all positions across the organization including posting job openings, processing job applications, managing resumes, arranging interviews, updating candidates, and will assist with new hire orientation
- Must be knowledgeable of all safety codes per BP's guidelines
- Ensure compliance with BP’s code of ethics, integrity and conduct
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a Human Resources role and payroll
- Able to multitask and work in a team environment
- Must be proficient in computer knowledge including MS Office Suite products
- All candidates are subject to a background check and employment verification process
Physical demands:
- Ability to continuously stand or walk
- Ability to bend and lift occasionally
Work environment:
- Work will be conducted in an office environment
- May encounter temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 425 degrees around equipment in the kitchen if needed to enter that area
- May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces
- Noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud
