Senior CPA / Tax Manager (Succession-Track Opportunity)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior CPA / Tax Manager to join our well‑established small CPA firm in Greensburg, Indiana. You will oversee complex individual and business tax work, mentor staff, manage tax‑season workflow, and provide thoughtful advisory services to clients who have been with our firm for decades. We serve a long‑standing client base that includes individuals, farms, and a strong portfolio of agricultural C‑corporations that rely on us for year-round guidance and long-term tax planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and prepare complex 1040s, 1065s, 1120‑S and 1120 returns
• Provide tax planning and advisory to individuals, farms, and small businesses
• Support and mentor staff accountants
• Oversee workflow and quality control during tax season
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Optional: grow into firm leadership and eventual succession

Qualifications

• Active CPA license
• 10 years of tax experience in public accounting
• Experience with farm taxation or agricultural C‑corporations is a plus (not required)
• Strong communication and client‑service mindset
• Experience reviewing returns and managing deadlines
• Interest in long‑term leadership or succession track
• Small‑firm experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• $100,000–$125,000 per year (higher for exceptional candidates)
• SIMPLE IRA with 3% match

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
