Job Summary:
Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for Bohl Equipment Parts Service in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain a program that ensures maximum customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Review schedules and/or orders for all Bohl Equipment Parts locations (Toledo, Marion & Ft. Wayne) to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
  • Recommend, participate in, and/or execute personnel actions including hiring, promotion, disciplinary action, performance management, and employee development.
  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the departments with regard to pricing, inventory, ROI and profit margins
  • Work with Service Managers and Sales Managers to ensure timely turnaround of parts orders needed for internal jobs
  • Maintain a balanced inventory to meet the needs of the Service Departments, wholesale accounts, and retail customers
  • Monitor inventory to minimize obsolete parts
  • Establish sales and marketing programs to increase business for wholesale and retail customers
  • Monitor account receivables for department
  • Direct parts delivery program to wholesale customers
  • Monitor shipping and receiving to ensure timely processing of process.
  • Follow up on customer complaints and concerns promptly, using tact and expertise to resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Analyze department layout and operations and ensure efficiency and efficacy of inventory and staff
  • Attend and/or schedule necessary product training to remain current on parts and processes
  • Authority to stop production in the event due to poor quality, unsafe parts or conditions appear.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Next Level Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of OEM forklift operations is preferred.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years progressive experience in a high-volume parts department, with Managerial experience being preferred.
  • Experience with Inventory Management Systems and ERP Software
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
  • Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as Microsoft products, managing files and records, organizational skills and workplace terminology.
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Managing one's own time and the time of others
  • Able to drive on the behalf of the company to visit company locations and/or customer and vendors, as needed.

Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
