Located on the Pacific coastline, this SBU is poised for growth with strong backlog and customer relations. It is a $60M profit center and an engineered to spec manufacturer of products. SBU is a lean, best practices setting that endorses continuous improvement. Growth has come from product development, expanding customer base and satisfaction, and reinvestment into infrastructure.
OPPORTUNITY: Center stage. General Manager is looking for a proactive financial business partner to contribute on overall strategy, financial wellness and performance of business unit, acquisition integration, problem solving, deliverables and P/L management. Business unit is profitable and expanding. There are opportunities to improve margin by 15% or more. Looking for upside potential with strong business acumen on how to improve the P/L. Lead a team in financial and operational accounting.
Key areas of responsibilities and contribution opportunities:
- Short/long range strategic planning and budgets
- Monthly financial forecasting and analytics, KPIs, metrics
- Financial reporting; ASC 606
- Partner with manufacturing and supply chain on OTD, inventory management, capital expenditures, optimization, demand forecasting, etc.
- Team with sales on pricing, margin management, and forecasting
- Collaborate with engineering on budget, costs, and deliverables.
- Partner on working capital improvement opportunities
- Take Gemba walks and contribute on continuous improvement projects (i.e., working capital improvements, automation initiatives)
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong business acumen, a P/L mentality, and the drive to make a difference.
REQUIREMENTS: CPA, CMA or MBA wanted. Must have 8 years of business experience that most recently includes financial leadership within a manufacturing division or business unit. Experience needs to include financial & KPI reporting, budgeting, forecasting (revenues, expenses, cash), business modeling/analysis, and operational accounting (inventory, product costing). Must be willing to travel 10% within North America.
REWARD: $180,000 to $220,000 DOE plus bonus, LTIP, and relocation package.
