Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a System Administrator located in Boerne, TX. The Systems Administrator is the key technical lead ensuring the stability, security, and high availability of the District's instructional and administrative technology. This autonomous role requires strong technical judgment to manage high-volume workflow, proactively mitigate risks, and provide Tier 2/3 support. Core duties include specialized administration of Microsoft Exchange Online (M365), security policy enforcement (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), and PowerShell scripting. The role also manages essential infrastructure, including server administration, VMware virtualization, patch management, and backup procedures.
Qualifications
- Expertise in System Administration, including server maintenance, configuration, and performance optimization.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Hands-on experience in Technical Support to provide assistance to end-users and resolve their technical queries.
- Email Security: Administer and provide escalation support for email security platforms (Cisco IronPort, Microsoft EOP/ATP) within the O365 cloud environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security , or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are a plus.
