The Director of International Wholesale Sales is responsible for building and scaling the company’s global international wholesale business by developing long‑term reseller and distributor partnerships across Europe, East Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and South & Central America. This role focuses on selling pallet‑level inventory to established international resellers who own their inventory, pricing, listings, and customer relationships, with no drop shipping or parcel‑level fulfillment.
The Director brings proven experience selling wholesale in multiple international markets and serves as a subject‑matter expert on international regulatory, labeling, and compliance requirements for supplements. This is a hands‑on leadership role for a commercially driven operator who can open new markets, structure compliant wholesale agreements, and establish a scalable global reseller footprint with meaningful revenue impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s global international wholesale sales strategy, focused on pallet‑level sales to established resellers and distributors
- Identify, qualify, onboard, and manage high‑quality international wholesale partners across Europe, East Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and South & Central America
- Own the full wholesale sales cycle, including prospecting, negotiations, pricing, minimum order quantities, contract structure, and long‑term partner management
- Serve as the internal subject‑matter expert on international regulatory, labeling, and compliance requirements for supplements, ensuring products meet market‑specific standards prior to sale
- Collaborate closely with Regulatory, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure compliant, scalable, and profitable wholesale expansion
- Structure wholesale agreements that define inventory ownership transfer, territory rights, pricing expectations, and brand protection standards
- Drive repeat orders and sustainable revenue through strong distributor relationships, forecasting, and account management
- Evaluate new international markets and go‑to‑market opportunities, assessing feasibility, compliance requirements, margins, and operational complexity
- Establish and track performance metrics for international wholesale, including revenue growth, reorder rates, market coverage, and partner performance
- Represent the company with international partners at trade shows, industry events, and key meetings as needed
Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in international sales, wholesale, or global business development, preferably within supplements, CPG, health & wellness, or regulated consumer goods
- Demonstrated success selling true wholesale to international resellers or distributors, including pallet‑level or container‑level orders
- Proven experience operating in at least two international markets such as Europe, East Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, or Africa
- Deep working knowledge of international regulatory, labeling, and compliance requirements for supplements, including market‑specific packaging, language, and import considerations
- Strong negotiation and contract‑structuring skills, with experience setting MOQs, pricing tiers, territory rights, and brand protection standards
- Ability to quickly evaluate new international markets while balancing revenue opportunity, compliance complexity, margin, and operational impact
- Highly self‑directed and entrepreneurial, with strong cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills when working with international partners
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed to support partner development and market expansion
