Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following.
- Accurately perform hardness and other tests and record results as required.
- Performs calibration of all testing equipment accurately and on schedule.
- Performs audits, weekly probes, surveys, etc., as needed or defined by procedure and/or schedule.
- May be required to complete conformance certificates and/or other related paperwork.
- Ensure orders meet all specification requirements.
- Report any deviation, problem, or irregularity to the supervisor or management immediately.
- Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
- Perform other tasks as designated by the position
- This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers’ inventory and, as such, will perform duties safely and responsibly to prevent customer loss or damage.
- Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders.
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one to three years in the heat treating industry or related field is preferred.
- Must have some working knowledge of all testing equipment and terminology.
- Basic knowledge of commercial and aerospace materials and heat-treating equipment is preferred.
- Some experience reading/interpreting blueprints/specifications is preferred.
- Be detail-oriented and possess manual dexterity.
- May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
- Basic knowledge and some hands-on experience of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases, are required.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
- Must be able to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone.
