Essential Functions of the Role:
Diagnose and identify mechanical, electrical, and technical issues in vehicles.
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
Conduct routine maintenance procedures, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex problems effectively.
Document accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used for each vehicle.
Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations while working on vehicles.
Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through continuous learning.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical education or certification is a plus).
5 Years or more of proven experience as an automotive technician.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check, DMV screen, and drug screen
Must have own hand and power tool sets
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
- Drive manual transmission vehicles
- Efficiently navigate a computer
