Albizu University is seeking qualified applicants for a Faculty position in the Bachelor’s in Psychology in Spanish program at the Miami Campus. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction and supporting program activities, contributing to a dynamic and innovative academic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and teach engaging and effective course content for undergraduate students in the Bachelor’s in Psychology in Spanish program across both on-campus and online modalities.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course design, and program enhancement to ensure academic rigor and alignment with student and institutional needs.
- Assist with program activities such as scheduling, academic planning, and supporting student advising as needed.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback that supports academic growth and overall student success.
- Engage in scholarly research and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of psychology. Participate in the development and improvement of courses and academic initiatives in collaboration with program faculty, staff, and administration.
- Participate actively in departmental and institutional meetings, committees, accreditation processes, and community outreach efforts.
- Provide mentorship and support to students in their academic and professional development.
- Support the coordination of adjunct faculty by collaborating in onboarding, course alignment, and ensuring consistency in instructional quality.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree required, Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, PsyD, etc.) preferred in a relevant discipline or area of course content.
- Full professional proficiency in Spanish is required.
- Strong skills with the ability to stay current with the latest trends and best practices in psychology.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards and accessibility guidelines in higher education.
- Proven experience in teaching at the higher education level, preferably in both, on-ground and online, formats.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-modality environment.
