Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Clubessential, ensuring clarity and attention to detail.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills, ensuring timely service for all guests.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas through regular bussing and sanitation practices.
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently and optimize restaurant flow.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a focus on guest relations and customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and transaction processing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality settings is preferred; nightclub or high-volume service experience is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience while increasing sales.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and change calculation.
