Position Summary:

The Card Room Attendant is responsible for providing excellent member service while overseeing the daily operation and presentation of the card room within the country club. This position assists members and guests with beverage and snack service while providing warm, professional hospitality and ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout all card room spaces. Responsibilities include maintaining proper room setup, stocking supplies, supporting food and beverage service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. The Card Room Attendant is expected to uphold club standards through attentive service, strong communication, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Greets members and guests by name whenever possible and attentive to their needs.
• Greet Members and guests as they arrive in the cardroom spaces.
• Serves Beverages to members and guests.
• Provides the highest level of service in accordance with Club standards.
• Ensures that members/guests have a positive and memorable experience.
• Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
• Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations.
• Removes soiled dishes from tables, brings to dish washing area.
• Cleans-up spills and broken service ware with minimal disruption to other staff members and diners.
• Responsible for ensuring that work area is 100% ready for service 15 minutes prior to the scheduled opening time.
• Responsible for leaving all areas clean and organized at the end of shift.
• Cleans chairs and resets tables as soon as the members leave.
• Ensure Cardrooms are set to club standard, with tables, side tables, chairs and pillows in place.
• Keeps ice bins and buckets filled.
• Keeps Cardroom snacks filled.
• completed requisitions for items need for next shift.
• Stocks side station with supplies.
• Collect trash from cardrooms after each serving period.
• Assist F&B staff when cardrooms are used for dining.
• Keeps storage and linen rooms neat and organized.
• Must show up to work on time and in complete uniform.
• Must check with manager or captain prior to end of shift.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager, Food and Beverage Manager or Dining room Captains

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must have the ability to understand, interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and scheduled form.
• Must be able to work rapidly and safely during rush periods.
• Must be willing to go above and beyond to create a great experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple requests at a time.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and is frequently exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

• As a “Team Player” of Boca Woods Country Club, the Clubhouse Manager must be flexible and is required to perform any job, in whatever capacity, as requested by the General Manager that may be necessary for the smooth operation of Boca Woods Country Club.
