Duties
- Supervise daily café operations, including food preparation, beverage service, and customer interactions
- Lead and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and team management
- Oversee food handling and safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Manage POS systems and integrations such as Toast POS, Uber Eats, etc.
- Control inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimize waste and maximize profitability
- Implement shift management strategies to ensure smooth service during busy hours
- Conduct staff interviews, performance evaluations, and ongoing training sessions to develop a high-performing team
- Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for growth and cost control
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to food safety standards and hospitality best practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience, 5 years in quick service or fast food restaurant management, coffee shop experience is a plus
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in hospitality or restaurant settings, including team leadership and staff training
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and health regulations in the food industry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and shift scheduling
- Excellent communication skills for managerial communication, staff development, and customer service excellence
- Previous experience in casual dining or coffee shop environments is highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
